That's right! You come home one day to find a letter containing the keys to Infinity Ward's Commander In Chief's Office, all the power to command the IW team, and even the keys to the company limo! So, what do you do? You can do anything from tell the team to fix the servers, fix the game itself, make a new game, anything you want.

I've stressed this many times and I'll say it again, if I was in control of IW for a day, I would tell all of them to get off their lazy asses and MAKE MORE DLC!!!

Yes, we have one map pack...coming. That's it. Why the hell is it so hard to make DLC!? Somebody explain it to me!!! All you do is take what the game already is, add some stuff from the outline you've already made, and sell it. No matter what IW makes, EVERYBODY WILL BUY IT. You know why? Because we can't be left out, all of our friends are getting it, so we have to get it too, simple as that. And there are SO many things they could make. Another map pack with the old maps (gee, how hard is it to do that, they are already effing made up), a weapons pack, a perks pack, an equipment pack, seriously, anything in the game they could easily expand. Make a new game mode! SOMETHING!!

All you need to do is keep a game fresh in order to stop people from complaining. IW should know that if we had more things to do we would stop complaining about spawning or about how gay commando is. But since we sit here on the same damn maps with the same damn weapons and get killed by the same stupid *censored* every day eventually we all start complaining like we are little kids who just *censored* in their pants for the third time today.

VARIETY IS THE ANSWER PEOPLE!!

If I was IW I'd go back to the basics. Solid maps, solid guns, maybe change up the perks to be equal yet fitting for all people. Just get back to a COD4 form without the little mistakes. Instead of adding more and more killstreaks, bigger maps, why not just simple killstreaks, good well-rounded maps, and just focus on the finer things.

Yes I too agree with more DLC, I would have a minimum of 3 to 4 map packs a year. If need be, even add DLC for weapons, new perks and killstreaks without f*cking it all up.

I'd just like a less complicated game. Smile

well i'll tell um to make another map pack as the one atm isn't the best really, used to love crash now it sucks as the over powered guns (btw on machinma cod4 is the most banned game in all the arab countries :O learnt that today)

anyway fix the spawn, sniper frog thing if it exists, hit markers on interventions,
and yea new DLC stuff, 4 at the least every year, say like 8maps a year, new guns perks and possible killstreaks. also commando is overpowered and the fact i always get a knife hitmarker which i find just annoying.

also i'll like to smack the person who made that spawn system as it's mucked my KD up quite a few times!

I disagree. I know us who snipe want the hitmarkers gone, but I think the regular weapons and the snipers are quite even. No hitmarkers means everybodies going to snipe like in CoD4.

If was was InfinityWard for a day, I will go up to Activision officials and say,"FUQ YOU B!TCH!!!" I will then leave and join EA Games and sign a contract with them. After that, the price of the MW2 DLC will go down to $10 because Activision set the price to $15 in the first place and since EA > Activision and are also more consumer friendly, they will lower the price. After that, I will fuse IW with Respawn so we can get Jason West and Vince Zampella back into the action.

West and Zampella were the two InfinityWard heads that were fired by Activision because Activision thought that because of the success of MW2, West and Zampella would leave IW and start their own company. So after being retards and thinking like that, Activision officials decided to fire West and Zampella before they get a chance to quit

Respawn is a new company that was started by West and Zampells under a contract with EA Games after they were fired by Activision.

That will all happen in exactly one day. Yup.

your answer to how hard is it to make DLC?

VERY *censored* HARD!

only to make maps it takes hours and hours off your normal life, I used to make a custom map on HALO (CE) with 7 other people and it took us more than 2 months to finish it, the we still had to do loads and loads of updates on it. IW is with like 14-20 people working on maps (it's seriously not a full office) so cut them some slack, they made 3 new maps (?) and re-wrote 2 old ones in about 4-6 months??? (4 if the started after new year, 6 if they did it directly after the game launch) so i guess we should give these guys a round of applause!

on a side note, Hardcore MW2 fans need to get a life and play some newer games.

That is a good point.

But, I seriously doubt you really worked on it 8 hours a day everyday.

These guys are paid to do what they do, they are professionals and you are a 16 year old kid. They have also done it many times. And look at other companies! Other games get monthly DLC, Call of Duty gets 1 or 2 DLC's a game.

I worked on it ALOT during the vacation, and it was last year by the way, still those people at infinityward have better equipment that makes it Harder (i tell you) than the stuff we used to do. our work was just creating objects, creating landsacape, colouring in objects and landscape, making the landscape rough, then placing objects with x and y... what infinityward has to do is code everything, and then test it, so bare with me for this.

IW's map making

1-concept/approval/start process (can take about a week)
2-code terrain/test terrain (simple, can take a few days, even just a few hours or so if they got it right from scratch)
3-code objects (long time)/test objects (done in seconds(per object))
4-place coded objects and test if it's placed correctly(the hardest part, can take a long, long time, that's why I presume they started making the maps before newyear)
5-check for glitches and place invisible walls (okay, i don't know if they actually do this, but hey.)
6-double check and edit. (various duration)

One thing I am sure of, that they DO do this in this order, of course the time is speculation, but still should be moderately accurate if have actually been reading this.

all in all, it could take months to make a map, dont forget that the maps MUST be perfect, otherwise they'll get bad sales and *censored*.

EDIT=other games get monthly DLC, but ther is no game on the planet that get's monthly maps. (except for CE games)

But nevertheless, other games DO get monthly DLC, whether or not it's maps or just new characters/clothes/ect. Why can't IW do that? Why don't they have Spetnaz with Santa hats for Christmas? Once again, CoD gets 1 to 2 DLC per game, while other games get 1 or 2 a month. IW needs to see where their market's at.

So the reason why some games get many DLCs and why MW2 and other shooters don't is because FPS games don't really need them. Games like Little Big Planet, Rock Band, and Guitar Hero get many DLC, each containing some songs. MW2 has no real need for a minor DLC. The game already has enough guns and camo for you you choose. If you want a game that has many guns and many camos, go play Borderlands, it has over 87 million different combinations that you can choose from.

I also doubt costumes would appeal to most consumers that play MW2 and other FPS games. It is different for some games but MW2 is a war game so I doubt anyone would want to see Santa running around with a gun, killing people. Seeing Santa in a game like The Sims would be normal, but not MW2. MW2 is all about killing nubs with protoobs.

I respectfully disagree with two things you said.

One is that fps doesn't need DLC. Well, let me ask you this. Wasn't MW2 supposed to be one of if not the highest selling fps game ever? Wouldn't IW make a LOT of money off of DLC for their biggest game? Wouldn't people be happy with DLC, even if it's minor? Yeah, LBP is designed for DLC, so it makes since that they have a ridiculous amount of it. But I personally think that any and every game SHOULD have DLC.

And also, Santa is awesome. I think most people would like it. You could even make him a badass Santa, give him a 5 o-clock shadow and red and green camo for his guns.

I also doubt costumes would appeal to most consumers that play MW2 and other FPS games. It is different for some games but MW2 is a war game so I doubt anyone would want to see Santa running around with a gun, killing people. Seeing Santa in a game like The Sims would be normal, but not MW2. MW2 is all about killing nubs with protoobs.

I respectfully disagree with two things you said.

One is that fps doesn't need DLC. Well, let me ask you this. Wasn't MW2 supposed to be one of if not the highest selling fps game ever? Wouldn't IW make a LOT of money off of DLC for their biggest game? Wouldn't people be happy with DLC, even if it's minor? Yeah, LBP is designed for DLC, so it makes since that they have a ridiculous amount of it. But I personally think that any and every game SHOULD have DLC.

And also, Santa is awesome. I think most people would like it. You could even make him a badass Santa, give him a 5 o-clock shadow and red
and green camo for his guns.
