The Official Call of Duty: Black Ops Thread

Hello. I've decided to make a thread that will show all things i've found about black ops here including characters, weapons, trailers, info etc.

News :
Full Multiplayer Reveal will be on September the first.
There is a new theater mode.
The Nuke will NOT be returning.
Treyarch are not fans of Machine Pistols and Shotguns as secondary weapons.
Vehicles WILL Be returning.
There will be 4player Co-op Campaign
A beta will be likely
You can now change your characters appearance as well as perks, weapons, equipment, special grenades and secondarys.
Commando and One man army will not return.
PC users will have dedicated servers.
The known weapons camos are : Woodland, Arctic and desert.
As seen in a trailer, The dragunov will return and have the real life scope.

Weapons : KS-23, Galil, Makarov, Snub nose, AK-47, AK-74u, AUG, Arctic Warfare, Balistic Knife, C4, Camera Spike, Commando (Gun), Crossbow, Dragunov, FAMAS, Knife, M16A1, M1911, M202 Rocket Launcher, M203(Grenade launcher), M60, M67 Frag Grenade, MAC-10, MP5, Python, RPG-7, RPK, SPAS-12(Folded Stock), Semtex, Smoke Grenade.

Zombies Rumors/info/footage :
- On the side of the gun named Sally, there is tally marks which could be a sign or it's there to show how many kills the user has.
- Common sense, It would be dumb not to put in considering how big a success zombies was in World at War.
- Quote from Mark Lamia, “I cannot confirm or deny that we’re putting them in. “Do you want to see them in? Here’s what I can say; we’re really appreciative and we’re happy because adding them in before was a really risky thing to do.”
- Another Quote from Mark, "Well all I can tell you is we listen to the fanbase. Those are our consumers, so..."

Killstreaks :
CONFIRMED : UAV, RC Bomb, Care package, Arch angel, Napalm Strike.
UNCONFIRMED : Harrier Strike, AC-130, Chopper Gunner.



Characters :
Bowman, Brooks, Frank Woods, Harris, Hudson, Kilo one, Kravtchenko, Mason, Reznov from World at War, Swift, Thomas, Unnamed Radio Operator, Weaver.

Settings :
Vietnam, Cuba, The Arctic, Laos and Russia.

Missions :
WMD - WMD is set in 1968 in the Ural mountain range. "WMD" features the SR-71 Blackbird and a new weapon, the Crossbow.
Payback - In Payback, the player is able to pilot a helicopter.
Victor Charlie - Victor Charlie begins in a crashed helicopter, where the player must swim up the Huong River with only a knife.
Slaughter House - The action-packed mission "Slaughter House" takes place in Huế, Vietnam, in 1968.

All in all this game sounds epic. It might, MIGHT, be an ok replacement for CoD4. MIGHT. no Oma or commando is awesome, the akimbo knifes will be very fun to use. I kinda enjoyed having machine pistols as secondaries, but not really the over powered shotguns (especially on new vacant).

yup same ihardly ever use the shotguns unless im running and i have no amo in my ump

Unless you buy Hardened edition, which comes with the WaW zombie maps, but it has better graphics and all
