What number is this again? I've lost count.

Okay, to be serious now, the forums are inactive again. But I'm not worried because school is about to start and that is when the forums usually pick up. I just want to make sure that they are going to, because right now it's kind of pathetic to come on for the 4th day in a row and not see a new post.

The only thing that bothers me though is that I check the member lists every day and you guys do log in, you just don't post. That means that either this is your homepage, and as soon as you open the browser you move to another site, or you are looking at posts and not posting on them.

My hypothesis is that you guys just don't have anything to talk about here. Well, it's time for that train to end. There's a mountain of new games on the horizon and I have way too many interesting conversations with you guys on Skype to think that you have nothing to talk about on the forums.

So, time for a quick pep talk.

We have 85 users here on the forums. That's after we removed a bunch for inactivity. This means that people are joining, but not posting. If we can liven this place up a bit, perhaps we can bring some more people in, like Rafix, who has been the most active guy here since he joined.

We also just reached 23,000 messages on the forums, which is crazy if you ask me. When Mike and I (more Mike than I) put this site together we had no idea it would be as popular as it was. We hoped that we could use it to keep in touch with some of our favorite fans, and we definitely accomplished that, but the forums became so much more than that right before our eyes. The forums became a community of its own, and I often forget that this place is actually tied to my youtube channel and the main site. We don't talk about my channel much on here anymore, this is more of a place for us to hang out. The 4-8Forums is like the cool table in the cafeteria. Not only that, but look back at everything we have accomplished as a group, and everything we have gone through as a group, from samowned to wil leaving, to the inspirational messages and late night chat sessions about life.

Either way, I love you guys, and I wish you all good luck with your upcoming school. Study hard, do good, and drive your study hall monitor completely insane. That's the way we dew. (pun)

Sorry, brotacular! I do try to be active and as I've said before I check the forums 1 - 4 times a day depending on how active everyone is. Personally, though, I just haven't had much going on recently to share unless you wan't me to talk about my grandma coming down to get Lasek surgery, otherwise I've got nothing. I'm sure I will start posting more now that school has started back up... Maybe. I could talk about my teachers, I guess Razz

Also, I don't know if I just miss some posts or not, but this one almost went right by me. I usually look for the little "new" icon, so when there's a sticky and a new post on a regular thread, then I usually miss it completely. For the Users thing, I'm not sure what to do there. I do see new people signing up every now and then, but they just don't post or they're a bot. So I'm not entirely sure.

Oh, and one last thing. I probably won't be very active for about a week or two unless I get on on my phone. My grandparents will be staying in my room... So... I'll be sleeping on the couch.

There's a "View Posts Since Last Visit" button on the top right side of the homepage.

But I have no idea how you could miss this since its a global announcement and shows up in every category.

Also, you're the most active one here, so don't apologize.

I've never noticed that before. Or maybe I have and ignored it. Well, either way I'll be using it a lot more now.

I'm not entirely sure either, but I'm betting I just skimmed over it on accident, I tend to do that every now and then. I'll try to pay more attention Wink

I'll be honest, i dont check this nearly as much as i used to, never mind post as much but i often come on and read the posts and don't bother replying, laziness i guess, lol.

I'm generally pretty busy alot of the time nowadays since i dont really have a schedule i could be in my house at 4 one day then 10 minutes later left until 10 o'clock so i dont really have a set time i can come on and often when i'm in my house i either forget to check or just get distracted but i guess thats the same thing.

Forums need a new overhaul, imo. it's just a pain to read casually.

Like, choice of font, new background and colours, nothing too mad, but something smooth, take the minecraft forums for example,. they're easy to the eyes... it's been a while since you changed the forums, why not do it again?

Saying you'd like a change is fine, but not being active because nothing has changed isn't, because you never asked for a change. Post a little more and then we'll be obligated to change it when you ask, don't threaten us with inactivity. That's not fair to us, you know?
