Heavy Rain Demo

Personally, I enjoyed the short experience with Heavy Rain's two chapters. My favorite scenario (in the demo) would be Detective Shelby's. The controls are a bit odd and take some time to get used to, but, once you get the hang of it then you're good.

The quick time segments were pretty cool and depending on how well you perform the outcome of the scene can vary. For instance {Spoiler Sorta Kinda Maybe Who Knows Take A Guess I'm Hungry}, in Shelby's scenario you are tasked with confronting a prostitute by the name of Lauren Winters (or just Winter, I don't remember) about any information that she may hold regarding the game's central atagonist, the Origami Killer. The choices that can be made and the alternate paths that can be taken, while lacking in size, are quite varied; meaning different.

{Still More Spoilers Oh Yeah} Near the end, one of Lauren's clients walks past you while you're going through an asthma attack and begins to try and rape her. Note, you're outside the door while this is happening. You can either leave her to her hot demise, bust that mutha truckin' door down or knock like a maniac. The rest is too much for me to detail 'cuz I is lazy.

What are your thoughts on the demo? If you're buying it then I will lower my hand. If not, then I will smack you.

Well...I enjoyed the idea. I think it is extremely unique, has a lot going for it, and definitely wins the award for most realistic human graphics I have ever seen in my life.

The thing is...is it really fun? The story is awesome, and I'm sure only gets better, but the actual game..isn't really fun. You do the same thing over and over again. I feel like if I am in the mood for a movie, this is the best thing I could possibly get, but when I am in the mood to game, this can stay on the shelf.

And personally, I bought my ps3 to game.

same. nice concept, very nice graphics, makes the ps3 shine out in virtual path, but not my cup of tea.

It's not great. It's not as personal as BioShock was.
