| No but American football has the lamest ass names for teams ever. I could go make the dragons or something team called like the rebels and that would be a normal team -.- | |

| some of them have to do with a stereotype from that state. like the dallas cowboys, y'know texas and all. | |

| Many of the names come from state Birds or certain things that different them from other states. Most were made a long time ago. Besides, NFL can't make so many good names being that all the merchandise they sell and old school mindset they have, there are European NFL Minor Leagues, and they also have Arena Football here in the states. Tough to take a name without getting sued for it being taken already. | |
