So today THQ dissolved, or at least their IPs have been bought my other publishers and companies, and the following link will give most of the details about what game developers and IPs go where.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/01/23/thq-dissolved-saints-row-company-of-heroes-darksiders-devs-acquiredThe most depressing thing to me at the moment is knowing that Darksiders and WWE both haven't been picked up.
The article does say that Take-Two is interested in the WWE franchise which I think is a good place for them given 2K and Rockstar are both big companies who make great games. 2K I'm sure would be the ones behind the series if it in fact goes that way. They've proven they can compete greatly with EA in terms of sports franchises, so it'd be good news to see WWE not go to EA and be ruined by them. That's just my personal feelings with my connection to WWE video games.
On the other hand, Darksiders' developers not being taken yet is just mind-blowing to me and makes me generally upset because I thought they were one of the bigger franchises THQ owned much like WWE, Saints Row and Metro, and would get jumped on right away. I guess we'll see what happens in the coming days.
Of course, none of this has been finalized, but most of these will probably go to the people who placed the bids.
