Anyone getting Gran Turismo 5?

Is anyone getting Gran Turismo 5? It's obviously the best racing game off all time and it owns all other racing games and shooters even though shooters have nothing to do with the game at all. Am I being an immature Sony/ Gran Turismo fanboy who suddenly hates Forza for evAr? Yes, yes I am and I am 96.43% proud of it.

2: it's made by CRITERION, creators of Burnout paradise, the best racing game ever.
3: the demo rapes. big time

5: N O I R E T I R C
6: free roam. win. like burnout paradise
7: oh yeah, i almost forgot, criterion.
8: did i mention criterion is making it?
9: we've waited for GT5 for over 3 years, NFS:HP was called upon on the TGS, and it's coming out before GT5 is... fail, gt5... fail.

Did anybody play Test Drive the original on ps2? I effing LOVED that game, the final races were the most epic of any racing game I've ever played.

I played the original TDU on an xbox in a shop, i was like WHY U NO BE ON PS2

You don't compare Gran Turismo with Need for Speed.

You can't compare arcade racing with race simulating unless you want to compare first-person shooters with third-person shooters.

Need for Speed compares with Burnout and GT compares with Forza.

Gran Turismo 5 will own all because Gran Turismo started modern racing games on the PS1 and is the father of racing games and is also a glad sponsor of Japan's Super GT racing series AND D1GP drifting series. Also the creator of Gran Turismo has racing background and loves racing so he's not just in it for the money like most people who create racing games. Oh, and he recently raced in the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in Germany.

GT5 won't fail because I'd rather get a flawless game with quality instead of a game that seems rushed in a year or two. The wait is worth it.

Forgot the mention that ricers don't play this game.

uh what? okay i agree that the wait is worth it, but if I had to choose between something that i've been waiting for, i'd go for the one that's coming out soon.

GT5 is coming out soon. It has already been confirmed that the discs were being printed as of November 2 and that a batch of 550,000 copies of the game were shipped to France on November 6. It has also been announced that a new launch party for the game will be around November 30th at Madrid, Spain which (hopefully) means that the game will come out within the 2010 holiday season. The game will most likely come out on December 7th.

GT5 is coming out in february (last confirmed update(edit: for me)) so i doubt that the discs are being printed, unless the producers need a billion discs because they're so sure they're going to mass sell.

and they will mass sell, i think about 0.01 mil copies sold first day.
