Anyone getting Gran Turismo 5?

I really don't see much of a difference between the. I did only play the first 2 gts, the original nfs hot pursuit, carbon, and most wanted. It has been a while too... Hm....

Actually, i just tought about what you said, and yes you can compare gears of war with call of duty, no matter in what perspectice you look at it, they're still bloody shooters.

and if you won't take what i just said, go compare gears of war with halo, they look more alike, don't they?

so in the end they're just shooters, nobody (but you, so it seems) gives a flying f*ck.

so ALSO in the end they're just racing games, and actually there's not much difference between GT5 and NFS

cars - cars
racing cars - racing cars
open area(awesome) - circuits(meh)
cops - ghosts and cops(rumored in GT5, with the street racing part)
Customistion(NFSU,NFSU2,CARBON,NFSUnd) - Customisation (GT3,GT3as,GT4,GT5p,GT5)

and what is this about arcade racing? what the hell? this isn't outrun no f*cking way this is Wipeout either.

if anything the arcade racer is GT, not NFS, maybe the very first need for speeds, but not the modern ones, they are a totally different genre, it's called the Racing genre, under which GT falls aswell.

Gran Turismo vs Need For Speed

realistic - unrealistic
driving simulation - arcade racing
no cops - cops driving bugatti veyrons, yeah
thousands of cars - 30-ish cars
superb graphics - good(?) graphics

Yes, it's an arcade-style racing game. If you have a car in the game that can go from 0-100 mph in 3 seconds and you can also manage to flank right at 100+ mph, it's an arcade racing game.

I'm not going to lie, I like Need For Speed and I've played most of the NFS games as I grew up. Most of my games on my consoles were racing games because I love racing games and cars in real life. I'm not hating on Need For Speed, I'm just saying that Gran Turismo is better overall based on my experience playing the games. NFS is for people who want have a blast driving away from cops and Gran Turismo is for people who want a realistic driving game, that's all there is to it if you ask me. You guys don't have to go all out apesh1t and say that NFS is better.
