Defending Lady Gamers

Alright, I have a few things to say here.

Anybody who has ever ridiculed a girl for playing a videogame or thought they they are obviously better than them because they are a male is a single virgin who lives in their mothers basement.

I am so sick of guys thinking that gaming is a manly thing. A manly thing is football, because most girls don't like to get hit by a linebacker, I can understand that. There is absolutely no aspect of a videogame that suggests that girls shouldn't play it at all.

You might say, "Well death, games are violent, girls don't like violence." SOME girls don't like violence, some girls do.

To that you might say, "Well death, all guys like violence, and only some girls do." Not all guys like violence. Some like ponies. Without being prejudice here, some guys are gay, and some gay guys don't like violent things.

Then there's the whole "I'm so much better than any other girl cuz im a guy!" standpoint.

All I have to say about that is if you think you are so good, watch the pro gaming circuit. There's guys and girls there who will beat you blindfolded. It's complete ridiculous to assume that sex has to do with skill.

Oh, and the last time I checked, videogames are more of a mind game then a physical game, and girls tend to be smarter then guys according to some, not all, scientists. Most studies say that neither men or women are born or built to be smarter, so neither a male or female would have an edge.

And if you say guys have better hand-eye coordination, have you SEEN girls text? One of my friends won a texting competition, every time she texts I'm extremely impressed that she doesn't break her phone.

My point is, you can think that you are better, and you may be better, but lady gamers have just as much potential as guy gamers. The reason that less girls play then guys is simply peer pressure. If no other girls play, why would they? On the other hand, every guy in the world tells all of his guy friends about the awesome new game he just bought.

I rest my case.

I know what you mean.

I introduced my sister to Mario Kart and now she always gets first when my cousins and I play with her.

Oh, I remember once when a girl was in a Call of Duty lobby and some guy started ranting on her. When the game ended, she had a higher score than him so he cussed her out and left the lobby. Yup.

Interesting sh!t happens.

I lured one of my friends who thought girls were worse in every way shape and form at video games into a lobby with one of my friends who plays CoD4 and she destroyed him. I recorded it but eventually deleted it, he learned his lesson, haha.

My step sister played football and video games..she was good at both
She was 2nd string wide receiver..the shortest and weighed the least..and she got a touchdown..oh and this was on varsity football..she got in the news paper for this.

She didn't really play videogames but me,her,my brother and her sister (that was 11 at the time)..had a madden tournament one time..guess who won???!?!?!?

so if anybody wants to debate about this i'm defending them too X-D
